This time-honoured art form originates from Indonesia and involves the application of wax-resistant dye on fabrics.
Notably, this technique has also been practiced in various regions of India, including Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Mumbai.
Fuelled by a deep love and passion for Batik, Mr. Mehboob Hasan, along with two skilled artisans, embarked on a journey to establish an organization known as "Bombay Batik" in the year 1992.
Their vision unfolded in the bustling city of Mumbai, often referred to as the "city of dreams."
